Guide Post is a small Northumberland village surrounded by former mining towns like Choppington and Ashington. It sits just off the A189 Spine Road, with easy access to Newcastle (20km south) and the A1. Newcastle International Airport is 25km away via the A189. The village sits on the route of the old Blyth and Tyne Railway, with sections of the former trackbed still visible.
