Grotton lies in the Pennine foothills near Oldham, reached via the A669 from the town centre or A663 through Lees. The area connects easily to the M62 and M60 for longer journeys, whilst most traffic involves local trips between Oldham's surrounding communities. The Former Municipal Baths building remains as a testament to the area's textile mill heritage.
