Grindiscol lies just outside Lerwick on Mainland Shetland, easily reached via the A970 in about 10 minutes from the town centre. The main road connects to Tingwall Airport and the ferry terminals at Holmsgarth. With roughly 18 fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The name derives from Old Norse "grind," meaning gate, after the distinctive gap in the surrounding hills.
