Grimshader is a small village on Lewis's eastern coast, about 15 kilometres from Stornoway via the A866. After taking the ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway, it's a straightforward 20-minute drive through typical Hebridean peat bog country. The village sits beside Loch Erisort, one of Lewis's largest sea lochs, offering sheltered waters that cut deep into the island's rugged coastline.
