Greenloaning

Scotland

Scotland

Greenloaning lies along the A822 between Stirling and Crieff, perfectly placed where the lowlands meet the Ochils. The A9 corridor provides excellent access from Edinburgh or Glasgow via Dunblane. Popular local routes include connections to Doune and Dollar through pleasant hill country, whilst the village serves longer highland journeys heading north into Perthshire. The name comes from Gaelic "gleann luainidh" - valley of the washing place where Highland drovers once cleaned their cattle.
