Great Snoring lies in north Norfolk's countryside, about 25 miles northwest of Norwich via the A1067 through Fakenham. Weekend visitors from London typically follow the A11 to Norwich then continue northwest, whilst locals use country lanes connecting to Little Walsingham and the coast. The village boasts St. Mary's Church with its exceptional 15th-century rood screen, still showing painted medieval saints.
