Great Ouseburn is a North Yorkshire village just off the A1(M) near Boroughbridge, about 15km from York via the A59. Junction 48 provides the main motorway access, with the B6265 leading toward the village through flat agricultural countryside. The 12th-century St. Mary's Church houses remarkable medieval wall paintings discovered in the 1960s.
