Greasley
England
Greasley is a Nottinghamshire village between Nottingham and the Derbyshire border, reached via the A610 from M1 junction 26 or the A6002 from Nottingham centre. This former mining community sits on elevated ground with good views across the coalfield countryside, well-connected to nearby Eastwood and Kimberley. The village is notable for its 14th-century castle ruins in Castle Hill Wood, substantial remains of a fortified manor once owned by the de Grey family.
