Gorseinon lies just northwest of Swansea, easily reached via Junction 47 of the M4 or the A484 from the city centre. This former mining town now serves as a convenient residential base for exploring both urban Swansea and the Gower Peninsula. The Victorian railway viaduct remains the town's most striking landmark, towering over the high street long after the trains stopped running.
