Godstow lies just north of Oxford along the Thames, surrounded by water meadows and ancient woodland near Wolvercote and Wytham. Reach it via the A34 to Peartree interchange, then local roads, or from Oxford city centre up Woodstock Road. Long-distance visitors typically use the M40 to A34, whilst locals favour the scenic Godstow Road route. Electric vehicle charging is plentiful with over 100 fast chargers nearby. The village centres on the atmospheric ruins of Godstow Abbey, where Fair Rosamund, Henry II's mistress, lies buried.
