Goatacre is a small Wiltshire village reached via the A3102 from Junction 16 of the M4. The surrounding countryside features typical English farmland and hedgerows. Local routes connect to nearby Lyneham and Hilmarton, whilst longer journeys often come from Bath or the Cotswolds. The parish church of St. Mary's contains a remarkable 12th-century carved tympanum above its Norman doorway.
