Glossop occupies a valley position at the Peak District's western edge, serving as a gateway between Greater Manchester and the Pennine moorlands. The A57 Snake Pass provides the dramatic eastern route through the national park, whilst the A628 connects westward to the M67 and Manchester. With over 100 public EV charging points and regular rail links to Manchester Piccadilly, it's well-positioned for both Peak District exploration and commuter access. The Victorian railway station retains its original ornate ironwork from the town's textile heritage.
