Glasthule is a coastal suburb between Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey on Dublin Bay's southern shore. You can reach it via the R119 coastal road from the M50, or take the scenic N31 route from Dublin city center through Blackrock and Monkstown, about 12 kilometers along the coast. From Dublin Airport it's roughly 25 kilometers via the M1, M50, and N11. The area sits just 3 kilometers from Dun Laoghaire's major ferry port, where car ferries run regularly to Holyhead in Wales, and there are several golf courses nearby including Powerscourt East and West.
