Germiston is a small farming settlement on Mainland Orkney, positioned between Kirkwall and the famous Stenness stone circles. Reach it via ferry from Scrabster to Stromness, then the A965 northeast for about 15km. The village sits close to Kirkwall Airport and makes an excellent base for exploring Orkney's Neolithic sites, with the 5,000-year-old Ring of Brodgar just minutes away by car.
