Gedling lies just northeast of Nottingham, easily reached via the A612 from the city center or M1 Junction 26. This former mining area offers good commuter links whilst retaining its own identity amongst the Trent valley communities. The old colliery headstocks still dominate the skyline at Gedling Country Park.
