Gattonside sits across the River Tweed from Melrose in the Scottish Borders, with the Eildon Hills providing a dramatic backdrop. The village connects via the A6091 through Melrose, easily reached from Edinburgh via the A7 (about 60km) or from Glasgow via the M8 and A7.
