Gathurst is a Lancashire village between Wigan and Skelmersdale, reached via the A5209 to the M58 junction. Most visitors arrive from nearby Skelmersdale on an 11km route, whilst the M58 provides quick access to Liverpool and Manchester. The Victorian railway station retains its original 1855 cast-iron canopy.
