Garthdee occupies elevated ground on Aberdeen's south bank, accessed via the A93 Deeside road from the city centre 2km away. The A90 Western Peripheral Route handles longer journeys, whilst local routes serve daily commuters between the western suburbs and Aberdeen proper. With over 90 EV charging points nearby and Aberdeen International 12km northwest, it's well-connected for modern travel. The area's defining feature is Robert Gordon University's campus, whose contemporary buildings house over 16,000 students.
