Gamlingay is a Cambridgeshire village near the Bedfordshire border, positioned between Cambridge and Bedford. The A1198 provides the main access, connecting to the A14 at Caxton Gibbet for Cambridge (20 miles) and the wider motorway network. Alternative routes include the A603 from Sandy and the scenic B1040 from the west. The village features one of Cambridgeshire's largest remaining areas of ancient woodland, with oak trees over 400 years old.
