Galltair sits in the western Highlands with views across to Skye, accessed via the scenic A87 through Glen Shiel from Inverness (90 minutes). Local roads connect to nearby Glenelg and the Kylerhea ferry terminal for Skye crossings. The village offers one of the closest mainland viewpoints to watch the tiny Kylerhea ferry making its five-minute journey across the narrow strait.
