Galafoot lies on the A7 between Edinburgh and Carlisle, making it a convenient stop for cross-border journeys. The B6357 heads west to Hawick, whilst the A698 provides eastern access from Kelso. With approximately 25 fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The town features an original 18th-century toll bridge and toll house from the days of cattle droving.
