Gaisgill

England

England

Gaisgill is a small Cumbrian village on the A685 between Kendal and Kirkby Stephen, three kilometres from the M6 at Tebay. Surrounded by the Howgill Fells, it's a handy stop for those traveling between the Lakes and Dales. The village still has its original Victorian wash house and public baths, a rare surviving bit of 19th-century village life.
