Forda lies in west Devon's countryside between Tavistock and Cornwall, connected primarily by the A386 which links to the A30 for longer journeys. Local lanes serve nearby villages like Chillaton and Marystow, whilst the A30 provides access to Dartmoor or Cornwall's coast. The village church houses a remarkable 15th-century rood screen with original painted saint panels.
