Fockerby is a small North Lincolnshire village reached via the A161 from Junction 2 of the M180, about 8km north. The area sits on reclaimed fenland near the Humber, with the A161 providing the main north-south route between Goole and Scunthorpe. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 20 public fast chargers nearby. St. Bartholomew's Church retains medieval stonework from when this was marshland.
