Flint Hill is a former mining village in County Durham, positioned on rolling terrain between Newcastle and Consett. The A692 provides the main east-west connection, with the A1 offering broader regional links. Local routes serve nearby pit villages like Tantobie and Stanley, whilst longer journeys connect via the A1(M) to Durham or the A69 to Hexham. The village sits along the historic Tanfield Railway route, once the world's oldest working railway.
