Flanderstown lies at the heart of Shetland's main island, connected by the A970 which runs between Lerwick and the northern communities. The area serves as a hub for several nearby villages including Cunningsburgh and Bremirehoull, all within a couple of kilometres. With Lerwick/Tingwall Airport just minutes away and decent EV charging infrastructure, it's well-positioned for both island life and mainland connections. The name recalls the Flemish weavers who once contributed to Shetland's renowned textile heritage.
