Flagmount is a small lakeside village in County Clare on the shores of Lough Derg, reached via the R352 regional road. From Limerick, take the N7 northwest to Nenagh, then follow the R495 and R352 north for about 45 kilometers. Dublin drivers should use the M7 west past Portlaoise, connecting through Nenagh for roughly 150 kilometers total. The village sits close to Killaloe and Ballina, both under 20 kilometers away. Electric vehicle drivers will find limited charging locally, so plan stops in Nenagh or Limerick beforehand. The small harbor on Lough Derg still hosts traditional fishing boats alongside pleasure craft.
