Flagg perches high on the Derbyshire limestone plateau, one of the Peak District's most elevated villages at over 400 metres. Access is via winding minor roads from the A6 or A623, connecting through Chelmorton or Monyash. The village feels genuinely remote despite being within an hour of major cities, and is home to The Plough Inn, reputedly one of England's highest pubs.
