Fitzroy is a small Somerset city about 10km southwest of Taunton, reached via the A358 from Junction 25 of the M5. Local routes include the B3224 to Bishops Lydeard and connections to the A38 through Wellington. The surrounding countryside features typical Somerset farmland with the Quantock Hills nearby. Electric vehicle drivers will find roughly 60 fast charging points in the area. The Victorian clock tower in the town centre has been chiming every quarter hour since 1887.
