Fingest is a tiny Chilterns village in Buckinghamshire, reached via narrow lanes from the A4155 near Henley-on-Thames or country roads from High Wycombe. The M40 at Junction 5 provides the main long-distance access through winding hill routes. Its Norman church, St. Bartholomew's, features an unusually oversized twin-gabled bell tower that dominates the modest building.
