Fiddes lies in rural Aberdeenshire, 25km south of Aberdeen via the A90. This farming community sits between the Grampians and coast, accessed through Drumlithie or Mondynes from the main trunk road. Local routes connect to Stonehaven (15km) whilst long-distance travellers use the A90 from Edinburgh, Glasgow or the Highlands. The village sits near Red Beard's Well, an ancient iron-rich spring that's drawn visitors for centuries.
