Fethard

united kingdom

Fethard's a medieval town in County Tipperary where the 13th-century walls still stand at full height, making it one of Ireland's best-preserved walled towns. You can walk along the original gates and towers for grand views across the Suir valley. Most folk arrive via the N24 from either direction, then head north from Cashel for the final 15 kilometers. It's handy for day trips from Clonmel, just 16 kilometers south on the R689. Electric car drivers will find fast chargers in nearby Clonmel and Cashel to keep you going.
