Faceby is a small North Yorkshire village beneath the North York Moors escarpment, accessed via the A172 through Stokesley to connect with the A19. Popular routes include short trips to Hutton Rudby and longer drives to Northallerton or the Yorkshire coast. The village sits on the Cleveland Way walking route and serves as a gateway to the National Park. St. Mary Magdalene church features a rare 12th-century Norman tympanum carved above its south door.
