England
Evershot is a small Dorset village perched on the hills west of Dorchester, best known as Thomas Hardy's inspiration for "Evershed" in his Wessex novels. Reach it via the A37 from Yeovil (15km south) or A356 from Dorchester (20km west), with plenty of country lanes connecting nearby settlements like Rampisham. The Acorn Inn retains the Victorian character that captivated Hardy.
