Evanton sits on the Cromarty Firth's northern shore, 30km north of Inverness via the A9. This former railway village makes a handy Highland gateway, with the A9 providing easy access to Tain and the far north, while the B817 connects to nearby Alness. Around a dozen fast EV chargers serve the area. The village features remarkable community murals on Balconie Street.
