Esh is a County Durham village perched on elevated ground west of Durham city, reached via the A691 from either Durham or the A1(M) at Chester-le-Street. The area has over 150 EV charging points for electric vehicles. The village is dominated by the Gothic towers of Ushaw College, the former Catholic seminary that's appeared in numerous television productions.
