Epsom lies 24 kilometres southwest of London in Surrey's chalk downland, easily reached via the A24 from central London or Junction 9 of the M25. The town benefits from excellent transport links without suffering heavy through traffic, as the A240 connects to Kingston and the A217 serves Sutton. With over 4450 EV charging points nearby and direct rail links to London, it's well-equipped for modern travel. The Derby has run on Epsom Downs every June since 1780 at its original venue.
