Elstead is a Surrey village about 8 miles from Guildford, reached via the A3 and A287 or local roads from Godalming. It sits along the River Wey amid typical Surrey heathland and offers good access to Thursley Common. The medieval bridge spans the river at what was once an important crossing point that gave the village its name.
