Elsecar

Elsecar lies just outside Barnsley in South Yorkshire, easily reached via Junction 36 of the M1 and the A61. The former mining village sits amongst rolling countryside between Barnsley and Rotherham, now home to heritage attractions and green spaces. With over 150 EV charging points nearby and excellent motorway links, it's well-positioned for both day trips and longer stays. The village features the Elsecar Heritage Railway, where restored steam trains still run on original coal mining tracks.
