Ellenabeich perches on Seil Island's southern tip, reached via the famous Clachan Bridge from the mainland. The B844 from Oban (16 miles) crosses this elegant 1792 stone arch, locally called the "Bridge over the Atlantic." Most visitors come as day-trippers from Oban or longer journeys from Glasgow and Edinburgh. The village's flooded slate quarry creates a striking deep blue pool right beside the cottages.
