Eling lies on Southampton's western fringe where the Test meets Southampton Water, easily reached via the A326 from the M27. Most visitors arrive on short trips from Southampton or longer journeys from Winchester and Portsmouth using the motorway network. Electric vehicle charging is plentiful with over 200 fast chargers nearby. The village boasts England's last working tide mill, still grinding flour after a millennium of tidal power.
