The A66 sits 25km north for longer journeys, whilst local routes connect the scattered dale villages. With roughly 16 fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-equipped for exploring the North Pennines AONB. The 18th-century market cross still displays the original iron cattle rings from its market days.
