Echt is a small Aberdeenshire village 20km west of Aberdeen via the A944, positioned in the fertile Garioch valley. Aberdeen International Airport is 15km southeast, whilst long-distance visitors typically use the A96 trunk road connecting at Kintore. The village houses one of Scotland's finest collections of Pictish symbol stones in its 13th-century parish church.
