Eastdown lies in Devon's gentle countryside, easily reached via the A381 and local lanes that wind through typical hedgerow country. Short routes connect to nearby Ash and Burlestone, whilst longer journeys use the A381 toward Totnes or the coast. The village features traditional red sandstone buildings that give it a distinctive russet character.
