Earswick is a small residential area just north of York, easily reached via the A1237 ring road. Most visitors make the short trip from York city center or nearby Haxby, though long-distance travelers typically approach via the A1(M) and A64. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 70 fast chargers around York. The village was built in 1902 by the Rowntree chocolate family as a model community, with many original Arts and Crafts houses still standing.
