Durran

Scotland
Durran occupies a windswept stretch of the Caithness coast in Scotland's far north, where dramatic cliffs meet the churning waters of the Pentland Firth. Reached via the scenic A99 coastal road from Wick or Thurso, it's roughly two and a half hours from Inverness on the A9. The settlement commands spectacular views toward Orkney and sits near some of Britain's most powerful tidal races, where fierce currents create visible whirlpools during peak tidal flows.
