Durgan is a tiny Cornish village on the Helford River, reached via narrow lanes from the A394 near Helston or winding routes from Falmouth. Most visitors arrive from within Cornwall, though longer journeys typically use the A30 or A38 corridors. The village is renowned for its ancient fig trees growing directly from the sea wall, their roots thriving in salty conditions where most plants would fail.
