Dunterlie forms part of the Barrhead area in East Renfrewshire, just off the M77 south of Glasgow. Take Junction 3 from the M77, then follow local roads including the A726. Glasgow Airport is about 15km away via the M8 and A737. The community sits in the historic Levern Valley, where old mill workings once lined the Levern Water.
