Duns is the county town of Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders, positioned in the fertile Merse valley. The A6105 runs through town, connecting to the A1 near Berwick-upon-Tweed. From Edinburgh, take the A68 south then local roads for about an hour's drive. The town serves surrounding villages and offers around 13 EV charging points. Duns is the birthplace of medieval philosopher John Duns Scotus, whose name ironically inspired the word "dunce."
