Duddingston occupies a picturesque spot on Edinburgh's southeastern fringe, tucked between Arthur's Seat and ancient Duddingston Loch. Most visitors arrive via the A1 or local roads from central Edinburgh, with the A720 bypass providing convenient access from further afield. The 12th-century Duddingston Kirk contains Scotland's oldest working bell, cast in 1423.
